Biography

Shih-Chung, Wei is a postdoctoral fellow in National University of Singapore, and is working in developing droplet microfluidic bioassay. As a medical laboratory scientist, he received his PhD of biosensor from National Taiwan University in 2015. Prior to this, he had been a researcher for 8 years in Taiwan and Canada, a teaching assistant in biosensor and medical device commercialization course, and a part-time ELISA scientist in CAP-certified/ TAF-certified clinical lab for 2 years.  After he got his PhD, he worked as a project manager/postdoctoral researcher in a start-up team for 1 year.  


He led and managed a Taiwan-China collaboration project, a NTU SPARK translation research project, and a MOST Germination start-up project. Moreover, he was the president of department bachelor/graduate student association and vice president in human rights education student club. He also led a multi-background team to win the First Place Award from SAMPO Inc. and Potential Product Award from COMPAL Electronics Inc. in “2013 Intelligent Family competition” hold by Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan.
